Both photos are taken with an endoscope, looking directly up the schnozz, into the Frontal Sinuses up behind the eyes.

The ridge in the middle is the Septum partially reduced, and the left photo shows them pre-surgery, and the right one shows it post-surgery.
Notice the small indentation at the top of the right photo, which is all that remains of the original wall separating the 2 former chambers.
